Lathlain Vets - Dr Emma Lane - Vet Manager

Dr Emma Lane – Vet Manager

Emma is one of our permanent part time vets who works between the Lathlain and Vic Park Clinics. She graduated from Murdoch Uni in 1999 and her first job as a new graduate was at Lathlain Vet Clinic. Although Emma has left Perth a number of times, she always ends up back with us. In her time off from work she is busy wrangling her 3 boys. Being a vet, of course her household also contains fur babies; Gus the Maltese Shih Tsu pug cross, and her 2 rescue cats Cheezel and Loki.

Dr Becky Townsend – Vet

Becky graduated from Murdoch University in 2014, and after working in Perth for 2 years decided to satisfy her passion for travel by locuming in the UK, before joining our Victoria Park and Lathlain Clinics as a locum in October 2017. She enjoyed working with Pets and Vets so much that she took on a permanent position at Lathlain Clinic permanently from July 2018. Becky has a long background in the veterinary industry as a Nurse and Medical Scientist in Clinical Diagnostic Pathology before she became a Veterinary Surgeon. As a Vet she holds interests in soft tissue surgery, dermatology and anaesthesia. She shares her home with a very hairy loveable senior Golden Retriever named Logan, and outside of work hours enjoys spending time at the beach and river with him, as well as swing dancing, camping and travelling

Lathlain Vets - Dr Suna Winterburn - Vet

Dr Suna Winterburn – Vet

Suna is a very experienced vet and has been with Pets and Vets in some form for over 20 years. Suna consults Tues, Weds, Thurs and every second Fri afternoon and some Saturdays. She has 3 sons and 2 rescue dogs and likes spending time at the beach, bushwalking and watching her boys play cricket. She enjoyed volunteering in Thailand to spey and neuter their street dogs. She has an interest is complex medical cases.

Dr Rachel – Vet

Rachel graduated from Murdoch University in 2020. From a young age, she has had a passion for the health and wellbeing of animals and in January of 2021, began a full-time position at Lathlain. Currently, her interest lies in small animal medicine.

At home, she has 2 dogs, Pippa and Kiera and a cat named Gracie. Outside of her veterinary career, she enjoys spending time with her dogs at the beach and teaching calisthenics.

Lathlain Vet - Meet The Team - Dr Erica Dudley

Dr Erica Dudley – Vet

Erica graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2001 and enjoyed working in a mixed animal practice, in country Victoria, prior to moving to the UK to work as a small animal practitioner. Erica moved to Perth and joined the Vic Park Vet team in 2009. Erica enjoys all aspects of veterinary work and has an interest in small animal medicine.

Her home is shared with a menagerie of pets and kids and notably the wonderful ‘Harry High pants’, a cat who was once dumped at the clinic as a stray.

Lathlain Vet - Meet The Team - Dr Nadia

Dr Nadia Marchini – Vet

Nadia graduated from Murdoch Uni in 1991. She worked for Pets and Vets in the Pilbara and Albany before moving back to Perth and working in various practices until returning as a full time vet work at Victoria Park and Lathlain Vets. She then studied for an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture which she now incorporates into her veterinary work. She has recently returned to work at Lathlain Vets on Thursdays and alternate Saturdays.

She has 2 real children and 5 fur children consisting of 3 dogs and 2 cats. She also has a slimy magnificent tree frog child named Fern.

Ella – Head Vet Nurse

Ella is the Head Vet Nurse at Lathlain and has been working at Lathlain & Victoria Park Vet Clinics since 2008.

Her life is filled with animals both at work and home, with 2 crazy Setters, 4 cats,2 rabbits, 1 chicken and a snake! Ella also has two daughters that keep her very busy!

In her spare time she loves craft projects, particularly embroidery.

Anjel – Vet Nurse

Anjel started her Vet nursing career as a Trainee in 2019 and has now Joined the Pets and Vets Lathlain team in March 2023 as a qualified vet nurse.

Anjel has had a passion for all animals big and small since she could point and say “horsie!”. Anjel is very passionate about patient care and making your fur babies feel right at home.

In her spare time you can find Anjel going on adventures with her Paint horse Opal and spending time with family and friends.

Lathlain Vets - Toni - Vet Nurse

Toni – Vet Nurse

Toni is a part time nurse who is at Lathlain Vet Clinic on Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, Friday’s and Saturdays. Toni has been a part or our veterinary family for many years and we have watched her become a mother of two gorgeous children.

Although her kids keep her busy, she of course has a beautiful fur family; Sky a mature greyhound whose favourite pastime is sleeping on the couch, Pepe the Cat, Stormy the Rabbit and the newest addition is Milo the Cavoodle x Maltese a bundle of fun and energy who is the total opposite of Sky.

Sarah – Vet Nurse

Since a very young age, Sarah has had a passion for animals.

Growing up she has had many pets, all being different shapes and sizes and all very much loved!

She has loved the opportunity of living out her childhood dream of becoming a veterinary nurse working at Lockyer Avenue Vet Hospital for many years before joining Lathlain Vet Clinic in 2018.

If Sarah’s not at work, you can usually find her down at the beach as it is another one other favourite passions including walking, swimming, surfing, snorkelling and camping.

Lathlain Vets - Bec - Vet Nurse

Bec – Vet Nurse

Bec started her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at the beginning of 2020 and has since fallen in love with vet nursing.

She has a crazy Frenchie named Kenny, a silly Goldie name Biscuit and a talking bird named Crackers who are all best buds!

Bec loves to keep busy but will always find time to give your fur baby a cuddle.

Amelia – Vet Nurse

Amelia started her vet nurse journey studying Certificate II in Animal Studies which led her to completing work experience at our Lathlain Vet Clinic. We all fell in love with her enthusiasm as she developed a love for the industry and went on to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. The clinic soon found a position for her and she now works full time for us here in Lathlain.

When she is not at work, Amelia enjoys going down to the beach and spending time with her family, friends and animals.
